While staying at my mom's house over the holidays (geez, two months ago!) I came across this sweet little book that used to belong to my dad, Homeowner's Complete Outdoor Building Book from Popular Mechanics. What an inspiration to us aspiring DIYers. I say aspiring because I own few tools myself and probably fewer practiced skills, though I h
ave been known to swing a hammer in my day. Then there's the Homeowner part of it. I found this beautiful project in the book. Check out what seems to be an average fence above.
And how it transforms. Very James Bond.
Okay- so far this is the second attempt at this post and the photos are NOT cooperating. I can't make the page layout like I want so I apologize. This blogging-thing is new to me so I'll have to get the hang of all the tricks. I'm a frustrated Rachel right now, but I actually have work to do today so I'll be back again with more great finds in this book.
By the way, February is DIY month on Apartment Therapy. So many fabulous ideas to become inspired by.
Apparently I am a blogger now. I've been thinking so much about the title of this blog and finally came to the conclusion that it's not such a big deal really. What matters more is just that I've started it. So now it's for real, but I'm without substantive content for a first post. But don't you worry- I'll be back with something good. I am just getting started.
